Job Description: Program Manager III

Essential Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership for timely execution of Large Proposals and Programs
  • Reviewing all proposal documents to ensure proposed solutions meet the requirements of implementation
  • Should have shop floor work experience preferably as supplier quality engineer or Manufacturing Engineer.
  • Interface with Sourcing, Quality, Manufacturing & Vendors; also interfaces with Customers and vendors.
  • Managing and providing daily direction to the Proposal Program team to achieve Division goals for customer satisfaction, revenue, gross margin and on time deliverables
  • Responsible for managing schedule, and technical performance requirements of the program and its teams through all phases
  • Performing detailed risk/Issue assessment, tracking, resolution, escalation and closeout to ensure satisfactory program performance and delivery
  • Oversee and manage all subcontractor deliverables while working with the subcontract managers
  • Identify and secure additional staff necessary to support customer mission and project schedule, for the program and program teams.
  • Identify, train, evaluate, motivate, and develop program team members.
  • Implement the program execution processes to insure rapid, agile and successful execution.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of different manufacturing processes, Casting, Sheet Metal, Machining, Alloyed components etc.
  • Understanding of part fitment & inventory management
  • Strong commodity knowledge with Project Management skills
  • Able to optimize manufacturing process, develop new concepts for continuous improvement.
  • 10 years of experience in project management skills, methods and techniques (planning, scheduling, project control procedures, etc.)
