INTERNATIONALES PARLAMENTS-STIPENDIUM – IPS

Der Deutsche Bundestag vergibt in Zusammenarbeit mit der Freien Universität Berlin, der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin sowie der Technischen Universität Berlin jährlich Stipendien an politisch interessierte, junge Hochschulabsolventinnen und Hochschulabsolventen aus 41 Nationen.

Das IPS-Programm ist insgesamt auf eine Dauer von 5 Monaten (1. März bis 31. Juli 2016) angelegt. Kernstück des IPS ist dabei eine 15-wöchige Mitarbeit bei einem Mitglied des Deutschen Bundestages. Im Rahmen dieser Beschäftigung werden die Stipendiatinnen und Stipendiaten mit den verschiedenen Aufgaben eines Abgeordnetenbüros vertraut gemacht und aktiv in die Arbeit im Bundestag eingebunden. Sie begleiten ihre Abgeordneten zu Sitzungen der Ausschüsse, Fraktionen und anderer Gremien und gewinnen Einblicke in die internen Funktionsweisen, Zusammenhänge und Verfahrensabläufe des Parlaments. Vorgesehen ist ferner ein Besuch im Wahlkreis des Abgeordneten.

Darüber hinaus besuchen die Stipendiatinnen und Stipendiaten Informationsprogramme und Seminare, die der Bundestag sowie die politischen Stiftungen veranstalten. Im Sommersemester sind sie überdies als Studierende an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin eingeschrieben und können an dieser sowie an den anderen beiden Berliner Universitäten Vorlesungen und Lehrveranstaltungen besuchen.

Das IPS ist offen für hochqualifizierte, engagierte, aufgeschlossene und politisch interessierte junge Frauen und Männer, die den Willen haben, die demokratische Zukunft ihres Landes aktiv und verantwortlich mitzugestalten. Ziel des Programms ist es insbesondere, die Beziehungen Deutschlands mit den teilnehmenden Ländern zu fördern und zu festigen.

Die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer werden von einer unabhängigen Auswahlkommission des Deutschen Bundestages aufgrund fachlicher, sozialer, sprachlicher und interkultureller Kompetenzen ausgewählt.

• abgeschlossenes Universitätsstudium
• sehr gute Kenntnisse der deutschen Sprache
• jünger als 30 Jahre zu Beginn des Stipendiums
